We’re proud to have been featured in a recent Fox 13 News article highlighting the critical work of arborists in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. As our community grapples with the extensive damage caused by 100+ mph winds, our team at Arbor Bay Tree Service has been working tirelessly to assist in the cleanup and recovery efforts.
Our own Kacy Keeffe spoke with Fox 13 News about the challenges we’ve faced, including:
- Managing a high volume of requests with limited communication due to downed cell towers and power outages
- Prioritizing emergency cases, focusing on trees fallen on houses, churches, schools, and essential businesses
- Navigating the complexities of property damage responsibilities in storm situations
As Kacy explained in the article, “We kind of hit the perfect storm where Hurricane Helene came in and made everything soggy. And then this next hurricane blew all the trees over.” This unique situation has made our work particularly challenging but all the more crucial.
We also provided insights into the long-term effects of the storm on our local tree canopy, highlighting the potential for delayed tree deaths due to wind damage – an often overlooked consequence of severe storms.
At Arbor Bay Tree Service, we’re committed to helping our community recover and rebuild. We appreciate the recognition of our efforts and want to thank our dedicated team for their hard work during this difficult time.
